The following resources are available in Albany County. Many of these services are not affiliated with the Albany County Library, but are linked here for reference. 

Printing, etc.

The ACPL Laramie Branch offers the following services:

  • Printing – $0.10 per page for black and white | $0.25 per page for color
  • Faxing – $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for every subsequent page
  • Notary – free, contact the library for availability

The following locations in Laramie also provide fax services:

  • UPS -514 Grand Ave.
    • $2.00 per page
  • FedEx- 2124 Grand Ave.
    • Local: $1.89 for first page, $1.59 for every subsequent page
    • Not local: $2.49 for first page, $2.19 for every subsequent page
  • University of Wyoming Copy & Print Center – 1000 E. University (inside the Student Union)
    • $1.00 for first page, $.50 for every subsequent page

    • Open all day, $5.00 per signature
  • Wells Fargo – 2127 Grand Ave.
    • 9am – 5pm, Free except for certifying copies
  • UniWyo – 2020 Grand Ave.
    • 7:30am – 5:30pm, Free for members
  • Insurance Solutions by Laramie Investment Company, Inc.
    • Open 8:30am -5pm, if you are a customer it is free, otherwise $2 per document

Wyoming Department of Workforce Services

  • Help and training to job seekers as well as information on unemployment workers compensation, OSHA and more
  • Job listings and resume help are available at Wyoming @ Work 

Climb Wyoming

  • Non-profit organization that helps low-income single mothers through career training and placement

Food & Nutrition

Laramie Interfaith-Good Samaritan

  • Food pantry is located in the Laramie Plains Civic Center (right across the street from the library)

Cent$ible Nutrition Program 

  • The Cent$ible Nutrition Program is a free cooking and nutrition program that offers classes, recipes and resources

Laramie Soup Kitchen

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am – 2 pm, hot lunch from 10:30am-1:30pm.
  • Location: ​104 S 4th Street, Suite 101, in the lower level of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathedral

The Downtown Clinic

  • The ACHC provides a full range of medical services for all residents of Albany County

The Healthcare Marketplace

  • Provides information on healthcare options as well as offering health insurance enrollment

Housing & Shelter

Interfaith Good-Samaritan

  • Provides financial assistance for rent, mortgage and utility payments. Contact them for more information and eligibility

Transportation

Laramie Link Bus

  • Runs along Grand Ave on a regular schedule from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • From 6:30 pm – 2:00 am, Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 am to 10:pm on weekends transportation can be requested from LaramieLink Dial-A Ride.

P.A.T.S

  • Public Assisted Transportation Service (P.A.T.S) is a door-to-door transit service for senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Tax Help

Get your taxes filed for free by trained tax preparers

Location: Albany County Public Library, 310 S. 8th St. Laramie, WY

Eligibility:

  • Household income must be $60,000 or less
  • First come, first served
  • Returns are private and confidential, most can be e-filed for a quick refund, usually within 5-10 days
  • Bring W-2 forms, social security numbers/dates of birth for all household members, other relevant tax forms including 1099s and 1098s, and if possible, a copy of your 2015 tax return
  • We can do out-of-state, past year, and amended income tax returns
