NOTICE OF INTENT TO UPDATE ALBANY COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY

CODE OF CONDUCT/LIBRARY USE POLICY

Public notice is hereby given that the Albany County Public Library Board intends, in accordance with Wyo. Stat. § 16-3-103 and under the authority of Wyo. Stat. § 18-7-105 (a), to update its Code of Conduct/Library Use Policy previously adopted by the Albany County Public Library Board.  This policy provides guidelines for proper use of library resources and acceptable behavior while visiting the Albany County Public Library.

Interested persons may obtain a copy of these regulations at the Albany County Public Library, 310 S. 8th Street, Laramie, Wyoming, or may be viewed on the Albany County Library Public website, acpwy.org. [Click to view the updated Code of Conduct]  

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Albany County Public Library Board will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on November 22nd, 2021 at 4 p.m. to take oral comments from interested persons upon the proposed Code of Conduct/Library Use Policy. The meeting will be held electronically via Zoom. The link is available at acplwy.org. WRITTEN COMMENTS, data, views, and arguments may be submitted to the Library Director, Rachel Crocker, 310 S. 8th Street, Laramie, Wyoming, 82070 no later than November 12, 2021.  Written comments may also be submitted via electronic mail to Rachel Crocker rcrocker@acplwy.org.

Any interested person may urge the Albany County Public Library Board to not adopt the policies and also request the Board state its reasons for overruling the consideration urged against adoption.  Requests for an agency response must be made prior to, or within 30 (thirty) days after adoption of the policies, addressed to Rachel Crocker, Library Director, 310 S. 8th Street, Laramie, Wyoming 82070.
