Managing your Library Account:
How do I log into my account?
Go to WYLDCat, the online catalog, click My Account on the top of the page.
You will be asked to enter your library card number; this number can be found on the back of your library card. Your PIN is likely the default: WYLD.
Once you have entered this information you will be taken to your account page. From there you can view your items, renew, check hold availability and more. If you have issues, please contact the library.
Why are my privileges about to expire and how can I renew them?
Every cardholder’s privileges expire annually. This helps the library keep track of any changes in contact information. Privileges can not be updated online. Please call or email the library, with your library card number, and staff will be happy to assist you.
What is my PIN?
It is very likely that your PIN is the default: WYLD. If this does not work please call or email the library, with your library card number, and staff will be happy to assist you.
Renewals, Holds, and Fees
When are my items due?
To view the due date of an item you will need to access your library account (See ‘How do I log into my account’), from your account select the “Checkout” tab to view all your items and the due dates.
You may also view this information through the Bookmyne app which you can connect to your account. You may also call or email the library, with your library card number, and a staff member will be happy to assist you.
How do I renew an item?
You can renew items several ways. To renew online, go to WYLDCat, the online catalog, click My Account on the top of the page.
First, log into your account using your library card number and your PIN. The default PIN is WYLD
Once you are logged into your account, click the “Checkouts” tab.
To renew selected items, place a check mark in the box next to each item you want to renew, then click the blue Renew button.
*Note: Items can not be renewed in this way on or after their due date, You have reached the fine limit of $25, the item is on hold for another patron, or the item has already been renewed twice.
You may also renew items by calling or emailing the library, with your library card number handy, and a staff member will be happy to assist you. Our number is 307-721-2580, our email is email@example.com.
You may also renew in person with either the item or your library card.
Lastly, you can connect your library account to the app BookMyne. This app lets you access your account on your mobile devices, and gives you the option to renew items.
Does the library charge overdue fees?
The library only charges overdue fees for DVDs, video games, board games, National Parks passes, and iPads. There are no fees on children’s items, or books. The overdue fee for DVDs and video games is $0.25 per day. Board games and National Parks passes have a $2.00 per day fee, and iPads are $5.00 per day.
How do I get a library card?
Library cards are free to anyone who lives (for at least two months out of the year), shops, or works in Albany County.
Apply online today, and an ACPL staff member will send you a library card number.
Can my kids get a library card?
It is up to the legal guardian to decide at what age a minor gets a library card. There are no restrictions on cards held by minors and the card works the same as an adult card. For minors living in more than one household we recommend that that minor have a card for each household and each legal guardian, or use the card of the legal guardian they are with at the time.
Does the library have computers for public use?
Yes. We have 16 computers reserved for adults, 4 for teens and 6 just for kids. There is no need for a pass, they are first come first serve.
Can I print or make copies at the library?
Yes. Printing is $0.10 for black and white, $0.25 for color. We do not have wireless printing at this time.
